Itineraries

Day 1

Swabian Alb and Black Forest, approx. 270km

In the morning, you start your journey through southwest Germany at the Jettingen-Scheppach highway service station near Günzburg. You first drive over the Swabian Alb to Tübingen, where you can take a lunch break. You then stop for a coffee in Freudenstadt, known for its beautiful market square. You finally reach your hotel in the Black Forest in the afternoon. Round off the day with a first dinner.

Day 2

From the Black Forest to Trier approx. 250km

After breakfast, you'll begin the second day of your tour through southwest Germany. You'll travel through the Ortenau region, across the River Rhine into Alsace, France, with its hills and villages. Then you'll explore the northern Vosges Mountains and their forests. In the afternoon, you'll reach Trier, Germany's oldest city. Upon arrival at your hotel, you can visit Roman monuments and the old town. In the evening, you can enjoy a short stroll through the city. Over dinner in one of the cozy restaurants in the old town, you can reflect on the impressions of the day.

Day 3

Along the Moselle approx. 270km

After breakfast, you start the third day of your journey through southwest Germany. You explore the picturesque Moselle with its terraced vineyards, castles and charming towns such as Bernkastel-Kues, Traben-Trarbach and Cochem. You can take a lunch break in Bernkastel-Kues and a coffee break in Cochem with a view of the Reichsburg castle and the beautiful Moselle. A special highlight of the day is a visit to Bürresheim Castle, which is a little off the beaten track. The castle, known as one of the filming locations for the Indiana Jones films, impresses with its historic architecture and picturesque location. It is a real gem that reflects the history and beauty of the region. You reach the stage hotel in the afternoon and round off the day with a dinner full of wonderful impressions.

Day 4

Through the Middle Rhine Valley, approx. 260 km

After breakfast, you'll continue your journey along a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll pass Koblenz, where you can admire the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, before riding through the picturesque Middle Rhine Valley with its vineyards, castles, and beautiful nature. In Bingen, you can enjoy a lunch break overlooking the river and enjoying regional cuisine. Afterwards, you'll visit Worms, a city with a rich history. In the afternoon, you'll travel to the Odenwald, a beautiful low mountain region with forests and villages. You'll round off the day with dinner at your stopover hotel.

Day 5

The Neckar and the Ostalb, approx. 280 km

Today begins your last day in southwest Germany. After breakfast, you'll first travel through the Odenwald forest with its hills, forests, and villages. Then you'll follow the Neckar River through picturesque landscapes and historic sites toward Swabia. You can take a lunch break in Murrhardt in the Swabian-Franconian Forest, a quiet place to enjoy nature and regional cuisine. After the break, you'll travel through the Ostalb region, a stunning hilly landscape, and finally reach Bavarian Swabia. Your journey ends at the Jettingen-Scheppach rest stop, with many wonderful memories of the diverse landscapes and experiences.

The roads are generally well developed and asphalted.

Low, suitable for returners and beginners. However, you should be able to safely negotiate tight bends and hairpin bends. The route partly leads along mountain roads with very tight bends.

Vehicles with a displacement of over 500 cc; suitable for choppers or cruisers.

Citizens of EU countries do not require a visa for the countries on this tour. An identity card valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip is required. A valid passport is required for entry into Great Britain. Tour participants of other nationalities should inform themselves about the respective entry requirements before booking. EXIT TURN will be happy to assist you.

As part of this trip, we visit numerous sights, historical sites and natural and cultural monuments. Any costs for sightseeing and guided tours are only part of the tour service if these are described in the inclusive services.
