Itineraries

Day 1

270Km

In the morning, you begin your journey through southwestern Germany at the Jettingen-Scheppach motorway service area near Günzburg. You drive across the Swabian Alb to Tübingen, where you stop for lunch. Afterwards, you take a coffee break in Freudenstadt, known for its market square. In the afternoon, you finally reach your hotel in the Black Forest. You end the day with your first group dinner.

Day 2

250Km

After breakfast, you begin the second day of your tour through southwestern Germany. You drive through the Ortenau region, across the Rhine into France, into Alsace, and through the northern Vosges Mountains. In the afternoon, you reach Trier, the oldest city in Germany. There, you check into your hotel, visit Roman ruins, and explore the old town. In the evening, you take a short stroll through the city and enjoy dinner in a cozy restaurant.

Day 3

270Km

After breakfast, you begin the third day of your journey through southwestern Germany. You explore the picturesque Moselle region with its terraced vineyards, castles, and towns like Bernkastel-Kues, Traben-Trarbach, and Cochem. You stop for lunch in Bernkastel-Kues and for coffee in Cochem, enjoying views of Reichsburg Castle and the beautiful Moselle River. A special highlight of the day is a visit to Bürresheim Castle, located somewhat off the beaten tourist track. In the afternoon, you arrive at your hotel and enjoy dinner to round off the day.

Day 4

After breakfast, you continue your journey along a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You pass Koblenz and admire the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers, then travel through the Middle Rhine Valley with its vineyards, castles, and natural beauty. In Bingen, you stop for lunch overlooking the river and savoring regional cuisine. Afterward, you visit Worms, a city steeped in history. In the afternoon, you travel to the Odenwald, a beautiful low mountain range with forests and villages. You end the day with dinner at your overnight hotel.

Day 5

280Km

Today marks your last day in Southwest Germany. After breakfast, you drive through the Odenwald Forest with its rolling hills, forests, and villages. You then follow the Neckar River through picturesque landscapes and historic towns towards Swabia. You’ll stop for lunch in Murrhardt in the Swabian-Franconian Forest, a tranquil spot to enjoy nature and regional cuisine. After lunch, you continue across the Eastern Alb, an impressive hilly landscape, and finally reach Bavarian Swabia. Your journey ends at the Jettingen-Scheppach rest stop, filled with wonderful memories of the diverse landscapes and experiences.

The roads are generally well developed and asphalted.

Low, suitable for returners and beginners. However, you should be able to safely negotiate tight bends and hairpin bends. The route partly leads along mountain roads with very tight bends.

Citizens of EU countries do not require a visa for the countries on this tour. An identity card valid for at least 6 months after the end of the trip is required. A valid passport is required for entry into Great Britain. Tour participants of other nationalities should inform themselves about the respective entry requirements before booking. EXIT TURN will be happy to assist you.

As part of this trip, we visit numerous sights, historical sites and natural and cultural monuments. Any costs for sightseeing and guided tours are only part of the tour service if these are described in the inclusive services.

We recommend taking out travel cancellation/interruption insurance, travel health insurance, and breakdown cover. Further information is available on our website and will be provided with your booking confirmation.
