Itineraries

Day 1

Drive to the overnight hotel approx. 250km

You start on the first day in the morning at the meeting point in Lindau. From there, the route takes you southwards along short stretches of German and Swiss motorways (please note the vignette requirement). Along the route, you can make a stop at the spectacular Via Mala Gorge. You can have a lunch break at a nearby mountain inn. The highlight of the day is the Splügen Pass with its 75 hairpin bends, before you arrive relaxed at our hotel on Lake Como.

Day 2

Stage to the ferry approx. 260km

On day 2, you head towards Milan and cross the Po Valley on a short stretch of motorway (note the toll) before entering the winding roads of the Apennines. The ferry doesn't depart until evening, giving you plenty of time to explore the Apennines at your leisure.

Day 3

Drive to the tour hotel: 260km

The third stage begins in the morning after docking in Porto Torres in northwestern Sardinia. Today's route covers approximately 260 km. You'll cross the island from northwest to southeast, traveling along winding roads through hills and mountains, and will reach the tour hotel near Arbatax in southeastern Sardinia in the afternoon.

Day 4

Gennargentu National Park and SS125 250km

You'll start your day trip today at a relaxed pace after breakfast, following the southern section of the SS125. You'll enjoy the numerous curves along the southern route around Gennargentu National Park. A highlight of the day will also be the detour to the ghost village of Gairo Vecchio.

Day 5

SS125, Silvana Bar and passes 250km

Your tour today begins after breakfast. You follow the legendary SS125 along the east coast and take a well-deserved break at the Silana Biker Pub. You continue west towards Monte Ortobene, from where the route leads you south again. You cross Sardinia's highest paved pass, the Passo Arcu Correboi (1246 m), and also take the opportunity to climb the Passo di Caravai at 1118 m before arriving back at the hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 6

Break

Today is yours to enjoy as you like.

Day 7

West Coast viewpoint S'Archittu, 280km

Today's drive takes you along winding panoramic roads to breathtaking views. You might take a photo stop at the picturesque S'Archittu. It's also the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch break with a sea view.

Day 8

Pure motorcycling pleasure 280km

Day 8 of your trip is both the longest and the most winding – pure motorcycling pleasure. You ride north and cross the Valico sa Casa pass (1037m) before turning towards Bono. You might have a relaxed photo stop and going to have your lunch break at Castello dei Burgos. You then arrive back at our hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 9

Drive to the ferry 250km

Today you begin your return journey. You drive along the SP105 coastal road from Bosa via Albergo back to the ferry port of Porto Torres. One last time, you enjoy the winding roads of the Gennargentu Mountains and the magnificent views of the turquoise waters of the most beautiful Mediterranean island. Along the way, you have the opportunity to visit the old town of Alghero before your ferry departs this evening.

Day 10

Apennines 260km

In the morning you dock back again in Genoa. From there you make your way back through the Apennines to your overnight hotel on Lake Como.

Day 11

Return trip to Lindau 250km

Today you begin the final stage of your journey. You will cross the Alps once again via the San Bernardino Pass and reach your starting point in the late afternoon after a few short stretches of motorway. A journey full of winding roads and panoramic views, coastal romance, and unforgettable glimpses of the island's clear, turquoise waters lies behind you. With exhilarating driving experiences and breathtaking views, you conclude your tour in the late afternoon near Lindau on Lake Constance.

  • 2 nights in a mid-range hotel on Lake Como with a modern bathroom and toilet in the room
  • 6 nights in a good mid-range hotel/resort in Sardinia, near Arbatax, with a modern bathroom and toilet in the room
  • 2 ferry crossings with vehicle to Sardinia and overnight stays on the ferry in a cabin for 2 or 4 people, depending on availability
  • 10 buffet breakfasts (2 at the hotel on Lake Como, 6 at the tour hotel, 2 on the ferry)

The roads are generally well-developed and paved.

High but even suitable for returning drivers and beginners. However, the ability to confidently handle tight curves and switchbacks is essential. Parts of the route lead along high mountain roads with very tight bends.

A personal, road-legal (StVZO compliant) and roadworthy motorcycle, along with complete protective clothing.

Not suitable for choppers or cruisers.

Recommended engine size: 500cc or larger.

Citizens of EU countries do not require a visa for the countries included in this tour. A national identity card valid for at least six months after the end of the trip is required. A valid passport is required for entry into the UK. Travelers of other nationalities should inform themselves about the respective entry requirements before booking. EXIT TURN will be happy to assist you with this.

During this trip, we will visit numerous sights, historical sites, and natural and cultural monuments. Any costs for visits and guided tours are only included in the tour price if they are specifically listed as included services.

We recommend to take out a ravel cancellation/interruption insurance, a travel health insurance, and breakdown cover. Further information can be found on our website and will be provided with your booking confirmation.

This trip is not suitable for people with reduced mobility. We would be happy to advise you on whether an alternative trip would better suit your needs or whether we can customize this trip to your individual requirements.
