The vacation starts today
Day 2
Vosges ridge road from north to south, with approx. 280km
Today's tour begins with a short but winding drive to the starting point of the legendary Vosges ridge road near Sainte-Marie-Aux-Mines. After around an hour's drive, you will have the opportunity to take a photo stop at one of the viewpoints on this road. The route continues south along the historic military road to the Col du Grand Ballon, which at 1343 m is the highest point in the Vosges. Here you can take a well-earned lunch break and enjoy the spectacular view before continuing towards Cernay, the end of the ridge road. From there, a detour into the enchanting southern Vosges awaits you before you turn north again on the Alsace Wine Route towards Munster. This section takes you over no fewer than 14 mountain passes. At the Col du Linge, you have the opportunity to visit the "Champs de Bataille du Linge" museum and memorial. Allow at least an hour to immerse yourself in the moving history of this place. After a drive of around half an hour, you will finally return to your base hotel. There you can reflect on the day over a leisurely dinner and look forward to further adventures.
Day 3
always following the Alsace Wine Route, with approx. 330km
Your third day on the fantastic tour through the Vosges begins, as usual, with a delicious breakfast. You head north along the picturesque Alsatian wine route until you reach the Mont Sainte Odile abbey. From there, head northwest and head for the impressive ruins of Château de Wangenbourg - a truly magical place to discover. After a pleasant drive of around 2.5 hours on the last section, you return to the hotel, filled with the impressions of an unforgettable day in this beautiful region.
Day 4
Curves and passes in the northern Vosges, with approx. 280km
Today, the last stage of your tour begins directly after a hearty breakfast in the direction of Colmar. Your route takes you through charming little villages and winding roads to the idyllic Lac de Longemer, where you can take a well-earned break to enjoy the beauty of nature before tackling the next fascinating Vosges passes. Via the village of Gérardmer, you soon reach the first pass, the Col de Grosse Pierre at 955 m above sea level. Numerous other passes and countless bends await you until you finally discover the charming little town of Auxelles-Bas. You then continue your ride to the Col La Gentiane (1057 m). Now you turn back to the legendary Vosges ridge road and head towards the Col du Grand Ballon (1343 m) from the south. Charming little villages invite you to explore along the way until you arrive back at the hotel in the late afternoon.
